Grown Up

To live fast and die old What a perfect work of art To live with someone you love And both get in bed before it's dark Life gets better, the hangovers get worse Oh, when did I get so old? I even pay train fares now And most days, I do what I'm told I wake up every morning with someone I truly love And every day, I act more like my mum I watch what I eat I stay in and watch films Man, I have to pay my bills I must be grown up I'm working on my house I'm building a career How on earth did I get here? I must be grown up I'm still someone's kid, But I want to have my own I have less friends but more best friends And they're scattered around the globe I think about getting fit Like investing in my health And then I think of something else Like eating a pizza by myself I wake up every morning with someone I truly love And it's scary how much I love my dog I watch what I eat I stay in and watch films Man, I have to pay my bills I must be grown up I'm working on my house I'm building a career How on earth did I get here?
