A man in the mirror Of a two-star motel in Oklahoma Stands and stares Lets the faucet run until the water's scalding hot I wonder what the folks back home Would think if they could see me now A lit cigarette And a half a glass quart of 3.2 Banquet I lean on the rail And flick the glowing cherry down to the parking lot I wonder where the maid goes When she clocks out at the end of the night?
