So What's the point In writing Songs when I don't have A story to tell Words without meaning might send me to hell So How do I cope When my Only outlet Is writing these songs Buy my pen and paper Just won't play along, Now I'm Stuck in a rut Waiting around for my Heart to tell me You could make this a sound but I'm Straight out of luck There's nothing of meaning down here Down here So I gotta get out Climb this Mountain of doubt That lies before me A few more steps and I might just be free So When I get out I might Finally find my Lost clarity And then bore you all with my Six track EP, I'll be Free from the rut Running around for my SM7B To capture these sounds and I'll Layer them up And send them all out to your ears So Please let me know If you're singing along to my Dumb little song It might Fill it with meaning And bring me along
