A Prance Amidst Chrysanthemums

I have observed that the gardener's Eden Is sown in tears for the flower's feedin' Within my bowels no pith is conjured For howls of the mundane 'Cause I'm so jaded All my cares have faded I am all but mated On the tearful chessboard that is life And many truly don't realize The greatest enforcer Does not lie, in the sheath Rather in your mind Roll back stone Of sepulcher So I can lie within Spending my time trying to differentiate Between the Jesus and the Judas at my Last Supper Keeping a bit of the vigor to write my poems Putting the pencil to papyrus So to save a couple souls amidst the stormy weather I'm keeping it seminal every seed that I sow That means that I'm running a gambit every single time that I flow I'm speaking with the raven and I'm talking to crow And I'm seeing that the Ferryman is close in tow Running low on time Hourglass ain't on my side But I'm trying to understand What is on the other side Of the coin we were dealt Flipped a coin upon some felt Heads is what it landed on But what is tails all about I go to dance With the shadows at dawn No ballgown For this gala No I'm a king I'm no pawn I must advance 'Spite the snakes 'neath each pile Of leaves Upon my orchard Row Through this river of bones But I'm so jaded All my cares have faded I am all but mated On the tearful chessboard that is life
