The Tower

It would be okay by me If you were to wake up from your sleeping Living in a world of dreams Open up your eyes and you could see them We built a tower up so high Beautiful so all the world could see it Thought that we could touch the sky But it’s falling We’re falling Everybody’s got a dream That we’re trying to hold on to Maybe things aren’t what they seem And it slips right through our fingers Everything went up in flames Leaving only skeletons of what was Maybe it was all in vain And always was It always was  Everybody’s got a dream That we’re trying to hold on to Maybe things aren’t what they seem And it slips right through our fingers And all the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put it back together  All the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put it back together again It would be okay by me If you were to wake up from your sleeping Living in a world of dreams Open up your eyes and you could see them     Everybody’s got a dream That we’re trying to hold on to Maybe things aren’t what they seem And it slips right through our fingers
