The Passenger i was a passenger on a train you were a denizen of the night glimmering soft through the windowpane on the periphery of my sight beautiful mystery from afar easy to miss at a careless glance steady and delicate as a star almost invisible but for chance all of my empathy turned to fear watching your shadow become defined slowly but certainly drawing near questions were circling in my mind were you a ghost of my checkered past born of the moments that i forgot here to collect on the loan at last claiming the victories i had boughttook a look in the glass, something strange staring back at me a passenger on a train it's more than i can see sometimes i feel there's two of me it's more than i can see I'm just a passenger on a train it's more than i can see call me the passenger then i could see you were just a man only a creature of flesh and bone shot from the furnace where time began silently traveling all alone after a moment i saw your face strangely familiar to my eyes someone my memory couldn’t place fellow compatriot in disguise shouldn’t have taken so long to see guess i was hoping it wasn’t true soon i accepted that it was me learning my spirit is split in two partly a passenger on a train partly a denizen of the night glimmering soft through the windowpane on the periphery of my sight took a look in the glass, something strange staring back at me a passenger on a train it's more than i can see sometimes i think there's two of me it's more than i can see I'm just a passenger on a train it's more than i can see call me the passenger --- Passenger - Sam Gendel
